When I was young I adored her when she wrapped me up tight held me close and I told her she smelled like roses. I still remember that day with my first crush sitting on a blanket having a picnic when it started to rain. We wrote our first names on the old oak tree and watched the baby ducks swim down the stream that was the best memory. Now it's 10 years later and I spot her in the park so I ask if she remembers when we went on our first date and I drew a rose around her name. Benjamin Prins 2006. |
