trudge into the bar ask for a drink share a look disappear back the next day transformed holding another look ask for another round loiter near the door disappear another face another file one day and the next characters unfold another drink swipe of an empty glass pants wet with stains disappear just the same hundreds and thousands gaunt faces sharky estranged profiles weird smiles all gone terminated |
