The lack of energy was haunting me I couldn’t find a reason to be Satisfied and truly happy But now I thank my hunger If there is one thing I could take From this world for my own sake Boil it, mash it, fry it and bake Those delicious golden potatoes An aphrodisiac they one were Considered by many to be the sure Way to get the best dinner served And I thank God for that So when you blessings are counted few Remember that one thing is true If you boil it, mash it or stick it in a stew Those potatoes make anyone’s day Unorthodox mabey, but I grow on you. |
