Just by speaking
every sound you make
says thank you
I love you always
please come back soon.

When I work outside
and see a fresh rose
it reminds me of you
when we first met
and I couldn’t find the words

Midsummer's day
I spot you watching me
so I rush to finish up
in the hot sunlight
hoping to sweep you off your feet.

Sweet dreams made of candy
make me feel uneasy
when I have butterflies
about to walk up the stairs
and knock on the door.
