And he tells her in hues of blue and black she is nothing And she? She listens in shades of red and grey edged 'round with bittersweet lilac. Nothing but what he can't live without if he but knew. And she watches with eyes grown old promises that melt like butter on a hot summer day. He'll never change She'll never leave And the child watches the child learns he is nothing |
