Loving Someone Else

The day I lost you
Is the day I made love to you through someone else
Tears streaming down my eyes when I got the phone call
But tired of being alone in my room crying over you
I get up an get dressed in a zone

A lover of mine someone I never cared for
awaits for me outside my door
Weak from slumber I climb into his truck
slam the door and away we go

My mind on everything but him
I speak of my lost friend the one I missed
He knew I was upset he came to cheer me up
Having know idea that I was not crying for just a friend

My love for you was so strong then
There was nothing I would not have done for you
But you left me alone when I needed you there the most
Tears of the moon

Making love to him was making love to you
I held him in my arms and imagined you instead
I caressed his skin but it was you
Kissing him with my eyes closed afraid to wake up
and not find you there

When its over reality seaps back in
I cannot reach you
No matter who I may have given my love
Its not you

I quickly leave without looking back
If you only knew the pain I went through
Knowing I would never get this love from you
I found someone else to replace you
Doesnt mean my heart ever left you

I do not need shine or wealth, just a pen and some paper for my health
