Climbing Mountains Barefoot My selfish heart knows no different, nothing other than holding you, my foolish mind wanders off to memory, to all, it seems, I ever knew. I'm not missing anything that you can give to me, it's why I have to leave I'm certain you'll agree. I'll never be quite capable of forgetting you, even in old age or with someone new. I do not appreciate this selfish heart of mine the tunnel vision of a foolish mind and the nights of linger longer, asking why, climbing mountains barefoot, trying to reach goodbye. ~ |

I laughed out loud when i read that one. Only I laughed out of fear of my past. The poem makes me want to kiss somebody... |

Dear Passing Shadows, You tease our minds and that is good. Goodbyes are never easy. Thanks for the thought. |

Our minds always want to rate and identify the special ones...those we will miss the most...although they may not have been the best...if they were...why did they end...James |

yes, i have often thought it a marvel that a woman's true love never leaves her heart; even when she moves on, her heart belongs to another...thank you for that very true piece! |

"climbing mountains barefoot, trying to reach goodbye" Goodbye is so hard to reach passing shadows. You have expressed this feeling well. |
