Our Flower Girl

To search for the rainbows end,
to suckle another iced tea conception with lemon,
can be felt just through the girl-scout grin of a flower delivery girl,
in the inevitable march of time down the yellow brick heavens

They say "like a gardener, you believe what goes down must come up."
And "every time history repeats itself, the price goes up."
That's why God made girls to spread flowers to everyone in easter bunny baskets,
so history can tide with blessings in small packages of love

Love is timeless happenstance but her heart is filled with marrow,
as easy as a gown dropped it can float and rise once more,
like the spring that follows winter, where waits clarity,
between the tea and scones she is the chamomile that heals every throat sore

She teaches us that each years measure is worth much treasure,
so I sing this ode to the artist of the meadow mural,
encase your soul evermore in livings smile,
and may it be you like the warm Bahamian breeze in soprano

Always know you are always loved,
you will always be the morning that gathers in nature's curtain,
the zephyr hug under the mimosa tree...

for you are our flower girl, the gardener of poetic purity,
with a heart of honeyed clover and smile that's even summer in winter,
we all share that Virgo in our souls with you,
following you into your special place where loves meaning gathers...

This is beautiful! Thank you. I don't know if you have seen Sunshine's recent request that all poems for Martie are linked to the thread in Announcements, for easy access for Martie to read them. I'm sure you will see it when you go in there again, but just thought I would mention it anyway.
