I am posting both of these together, because one is an adaptation of the other

"Inspired"

13 September 1997

The light that shines in Jennifer’s eyes
yet I cannot see
The smile that shines on her face
yet I cannot see

The warmth she holds in her heart
yet I cannot feel such desire
The kindness that glows in her soul
yet I cannot understand

The reason she has become my muse
yet I cannot be sure why
The motherhood she projects in her actions
yet I cannot really be sure why

The prayers I project each day
yet I wonder if they should be
The answer I long to know
yet I do not know
what love is

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and
is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction,
for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God
may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”
2 Timothy 3: 16-17 KJV

An Inspired Adaptation

18 April 1999

The light that shines in your eyes
yet I cannot see
The smile that shines on your face
yet I cannot see

The warmth you hold in your heart
yet I cannot feel such desire
The kindness that glows in your soul
yet I cannot understand

The reason you are my muse
yet I cannot be sure why
The children you protect in your actions
yet I cannot really be sure why

The prayers I project each day
yet I wonder if they should be
The answer I long to know
yet I do not know
what love is

“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate one,
and love the other: or else he will hold to one, and despise
the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. [Worldliness]”
Matthew 6: 24 KJV
