5344 Enchanted Labour 25 April 2006 Silence, the darkness of a still heartbeat flat, empty, no more pain as to death But for the light, an element not unplugged they call this life, in such enchantment to live Heaven not her prison less in time to shake Jesus by name God had forgiven, rekindled empire another day to taste the sun in savour Relented and readied for such reality onward, times tick her passion of love A soul unable, yet to surrender the message and journey unto give Neither to question much to relate This momentum forth to whom she does labour “Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.” Philippians 2: 16 KJV © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |
