Today sky denies the existence of blue inherent within its magnitude because it can’t see beyond the pain, beyond the hope that once went away, and beyond a need for lovers in meet to upward smile in grateful release. Shrouded by clouds it awaits a new day silent, alone, in this present time frame wanting and needing a touch of acceptance to dispel the gloom now barring its view while earth unperturbed turns, turns again. I can’t stop the spin to stand still and stare because life demands more than wistfulness but I carry within a lifeline for sky to reach out and grab and closet to heart whenever it feels the time is just right. Tomorrow perhaps blue sky in review will be done with its slide into gray and blue will again be my companion on my re-entry into renewal but no one can read the sky’s faraway mind and I wait for the blue, the awesome blue, to smile downward its pleasure on me ~ because I waited, you see, through all of the gray with belief in the blue always stable and true! Scattered clouds, broken promises of a blue today. Hinder, but do not block rays, weak at first, but growing stronger for a sunnier tomorrow. I loved this poem. thank you for allowing me to read. xx farewell the ash-tray girl |
