5320 Do You Remember? 20 April 2006 Do you remember that day our souls first touched The moment words, you began to read or when it was to me: “I love you”, you said Do you remember, those moments in time when long ago time was not real A moment so precious beyond each star how it was since back then, together we have travelled afar Such memories of months to a year maybe not quite yet in truth But to know a birthday was to begin come what may, in this race to win Do you remember, how it will always be just you, just you and I in thought Do you remember that day our souls first met A day, a time, 'I love you' both you and I did beget “And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; . . .” Genesis 9: 15 KJV © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |
