Whenever I feel too pastel blue,
I close my eyes and think of you;
the vibrancy of your tints and shades,
splendid splashes of Life you boldly made
come alive as you spread them
with a hungry heart and burning soul
upon each awaiting blank canvas.
Complementary or analogous,
your colors always had powerful emotions attached;
for plain pigments they are not,
when dipped and brushed in the passions of life,
released by the hands of a master.

Whenever I feel too pastel blue,
I close my eyes, and thank you
for encouraging me to release
the vibrant paints held within my heart,
for my hands alone wield the brushes
which stroke the canvas bled by this soul.
Be not afraid, you said, of any color or hue,
nor afraid to reveal the textures
that are uniquely you.

Release all the seasons, the changing reasons.
Add new colors to your life's canvas each day.
It's the only way to grow and thrive,
the quintessential essence of being.

Alive.

nice blending of darks lights and all that
comes from the paintbox of heart you color and are colored by.

"Whenever I feel too pastel blue,
I close my eyes, and thank you"

Those lines grabbed at me Kacy.

I am thankful for the ability to not let the dark paints overshadow the color.
