Crystal Crucifix Rain is the sky that cries Remorseful as the man that sighs; Liquid sadness dropping like warm love Icing upon the touch of Gaea’s black grove; There, nothing grows from the cold Or yearns to be old. To all such things there is a core And deep within is a crucifix that bleeds-- A holy fortress of the sleeping dead, Dreaming of black birds loose from cage, Released before creation from one with rage, So long ago but still their hearts enrage--- But a Son would be born in eternities elixir To quiet the cries of Angels and sinners. Captured moments, captured tears Upon said hymns my Savior hears, Within listening hearts an adversary fears--- But fear not the prophecy ancient one The truth is hidden behind Angels and stone, Where the four horsemen hide and wait To release a Messiah from His crystal fate.
