CITYSCAPE
December 1998

The city blocks are splashed rose-gold
in the embers of the day.
Sky mirrors the glow
and fragments it into a riotous watercolour wash.
Traffic hushes its voice
and peace seeps into the human frames
of those
with an artist’s soul.

Poetry is art of the heart, and your words sculpt the city's heartbeats in wordpaint. There is something very alive about cities, even when they are quieting. One never wants to see them empty.
