and worries, if words could take to the sky mine would never choose a butterfly with never one particular destination. First up and then down and next blown to and thither by the whims of the breeze. Mine would probably baby eaglets be screaming in protest each time they are de-nested. Clinging past the hope of outstretched wings never to realize the splendor of soaring purely for the sake of flight. But if words could fly then tell me why does even one poet remain grounded? Why do we not soar to our heart’s contentment coming to rest high in the trees looking down on those less worded than we? And if it might be so wonderful that words could fly then why is there still this distance between us? |

Clinging past the hope of outstretched wings never to realize the splendor of soaring purely for the sake of flight. This stanza really stood out for me, wow. Much enjoyed this fine write. |

If words can visibly fly then Id be forever speechless. Seemed like there were words missing in this but maybe I just didnt rea it the right way. May the winds sweep through the moonless sky.... |

My words fly away when I try to write them like this. I hope this site will help me catch more of mine. It does feel good to say that in my first answer to a poem here. |

But if words could fly then tell me why does even one poet remain grounded? Why do we not soar to our heart’s contentment coming to rest high in the trees looking down on those less worded than we? ~*~ Interesting phrasing... the opposite being... [i]come sit upon my branches, oh poet and dreamer, alike, water me with your tears, spread your thoughts along my limbs, dress me with pro, and con, and we shall each grow, in time, to reach the skies and where some eagle might some one day, sit with us, all in like, and kind, poets of natural ability... always reaching. ~*~ Ah...I do enjoy it when I am inspired...by luminosity. . |

ah lady, I think that we fly more than we know despite our lead feet miss you EA thank you, I love butterflies Marge, thank you dear lady brother stone, I hope you will be inspired by these pages of blue, thank you tracie, I agree, words can take us places that airplanes can’t go sunshine, that verse changed the entire poem and actual came as a last minute whim of my muse, but oh I do love yours so much better……yours is the stuff poets dream of |
