Just the slightest breeze
wafting from the blue
can paint a kiss from heaven
magic as morning dew

Or a spark from starfall
to set a twinkle where
a smooth cheek is waiting
soft lips touching there.

By sunbeam or moonglow
when kisses from on high
brush a heart into life
it's softer than a sigh

Lilting pure as melody
wild and free as heather
when Heaven paints an angel kiss
You only see...a feather!

so beautiful, the feather....

And so it those we live with
and should know who elude us
But we can still love them
we can love completely
without complete understanding

Steven, you are wonderfully inspiring and warm-hearted.  I am so happy you enjoyed reading this!
~~~~~~
Martie, I have so been enjoying your poems.
Angel kisses abound.  I wish you many, many more!
~~~~~~
Linda, be blessed!  No earth angel deserves it more.  Such gracious remarks on my poem!  I'm glowing!  I did tweak it a little bit more.
~~~~~~
To my perfectly enchanting Sistah...thank you!  I'm thinking that baby girl has lots of angel kisses for you.  Just sweetness!
~~~~~~
Honeybunch, even your pen name seems angelic.     Kisses from heaven are never wrong.  You just know~
~~~~~~
James, considering your location, maybe the angels there drop petals from their leighs.  Sigh... so pretty!
Greeneyes, I agree.  I think that feather is lovely icon for a kiss from heaven.  Wings....
~~~~~
passing shadow, thank you.  Angels around you, may you feel their presence.
~~~~~~
kayjay, cloudy morning? We had just enough sun here to make me rue having to work on taxes today.  LOL  Angel kisses would have been more than welcome~
~~~~~~
Ceinwyn, my pleasure to have you visit. Peace.  I hope you not only see the feathers, but that the breeze from their wings bouys your heart!
~~~~~~
miscellanea, I'm glad you stopped by,too!
Isn't that a fanciful feather?  Thank you.
Sheer beauty Klassy. Halfway through it I came to think of Steven's poem, but when I read the end it became obvious why I did
Thank you for sharing this..
Androgynous,  yes, Steven did inspire this.  His poems are simply heartfelt and have blessed me more than he knows.  I'm happy to know you made the connection before you completed the poem!  He even gave me the title!
