Once again the pressure of his words
seep into and under my skin.
My shoulders too weak to hold up thoughts
weighted down with more than I can control.

It's not true that you are given
no more than you can handle.

I will let another day go by,
accomplishing little,
letting hope fill my needs for now,
letting the ache be substituted with warmth
from a walk in the sunshine...

leaving the rest for tomorrow.
