The Tide

I often fail to see the tide
The forces of my lives abide
They skirt the shore and then withdraw
And never seem to stay in store

But that was but a stage of me
As foggy as a misty sea
And now I search above the mist
Yet failure seems to still persist

It seems a case of justify
Shadows that I can’t deny
Emotions, those that overflow
Emotions that can come to blows

I’ll never know the truth of bless
I base the world on no and yes
The texture of the shadows grey
Has no positive of stay

I only know that peace of mind
Is only given to the blind

Yes, you indeed are in possession of a wonderful gift, that is using rhyme without having the essence of the poem suffer under it, which is it's idea. And when you do, and it works out like this, it's truly amazing!

The world forgetting, by the world forgot.

Good afternoon, Mr. T.!

"I only know that peace of mind
Is only given to the blind"

~ Oh, dear! Does that mean that one such as yourself who sees beyond that of mere mortal man, is destined for the remainder of his Earthly days, to be without peace of mind?!?

All kidding aside, I continue to be impressed with your poetry ~ and you the man!
