The color detacher removed the stains
From table where they lay
But liquid draped surface edges
Then fell upon floor.
Wax did not take lightly
To the sting of puddled tile,
Curled up in little balls
Stripped for a little while.
Passerbys walked in trace
Over iron deficient tiled space, where
Proof of tread marks blackened;
Gumming to wax-splotched place.

The custodian stripped the room
Of what was thought to be
All the residual wax
All that had been left to be;
Three days later,
Woman upon sore knee
Scraping with a razors edge
Removing the stain unseen.

Your eye...is as sharp as ever.

Well done, Missy...well done.

Sunshine,

  Giggle, giggle.  It's not a sharp eye, it's the sharp pain in my knees!  I get myself in the worse predicaments!  I'm too embarrassed to ask the custodian to clean the room again!

Miscee  ...I think I've been in the same predicament...but without the custodian...darn it!

“Woman upon sore knee

It’s a very telling poem. Nice work.

Martie,
   Been in the same situation?  I hope not.  That darn floor has taken me hours and probably a few more to scrape up all the yucky stuff before waxed again!  Again, thanks for your visit.  It is always good to see your name.

The Lady,
    True to life situations can be very telling.  I tried to write this literally, but I suppose it could be interpretted figuratively as well.  In any case, stains are a pain!  Thanks for your comment.
