It pulls me through the air The length of my rope, a sigh It lifts me off the ground This kite I fly so high It’s up and heaven bound The cord is tied my heart The string unwinds my head It is the phantoms part That fears the string will shred It pulls me through the air I feel the wet of clouds I have no way to veer This lace that is my shroud I have no way to wind it in Or add a bit of weight The sigh is strong but much too thin And time has set a date |
