I put a penny in one day into a wishing well as if a change of heart would bring up a miracle but instead a handy tool for re-aligning me landed at my feet as a tiny fillip - see? I turned it this way/that, bit it, hit it, cried and totally denied it’s usefulness inside because I’m a woman and women feel their way through the slip and slide of awakening to the very start of heartfelt miracles. Another penny in to make a crust of mush and bake the goodness out of intrinsic feel but therein lies the rub; it’s no fun for anyone dealing with the heat of a miracle. And the miracle is love; there is no other so beware the calm waters of a wishing well that belie the confusion and bewilderment of a change of heart! Helen / 4 April 2006 |

Good for you, Jo! Those waters looked so innocent to me at the start. Thanks for the read. |

"And the miracle is love; there is no other so beware the calm waters of a wishing well that belie the confusion and bewilderment of a change of heart!" OOOOOH! This is such a great write! But the last verse can be the first chapter of a book. Love this one Honeybunch. JL |

Thanks to all for the read and for your kind comments. Sometimes we get what we wish for and are taken totally by surprise but at other times it's so cleverly disguised that the wish has come and gone before we realise it. I guess it pays to pay attention! |

Martie, There's love and then there's love but "proper" love is the miracle - not many miracles around these days that I'm aware of. |

We can't always see miracles ...but they're there! The one of love is one of the best. Good job. |
