there were no overshoes just the toes of water feet climbing windows looking for higher ground in a glass of someone's drinking the clouds are mothers without mates littering on purpose as if the giving is better than the receiving but then they would have that religion since they are god's carpeting and think the grass people are heathen needing to be saved from tan or the final weed free burning on their last day judgement every wednesday afternoon 'bout 3 'cept when it rains or on holidays _______________ daark scribblenote: about the rain this am, and the lawn that gets mowed on wed..the clouds seem to have motherly notions, and the grass well it seem childish..etc |

"since they are god's carpeting and think the grass people are heathen needing to be saved from tan" What a metaphor! To think of cool grass under bare feet ot on hot summer days.... The idea of summer right now is so enchanting as the wind is still cold and clouds spread themselve like gray blankets over my yen for blue sky. |

Could never resist boyish grins or puddles, barefoot or not, and I wonder if heathens mind dandelions and bachelor buttons. Somehow, I'm guessing NOT....always liked the blue tenacity of morning glory, too. |

the clouds are mothers without mates ~*~ This lent thought to much more than clouds... it even encompassed the fogs of the pass... among the hills and valleys... when it doesn't rain, but you still end up wet. You made me [again] remember some very special times... thank you. |

there were no overshoes just the toes of water feet climbing windows Love this - I am a windowpane watcher when it rains, staring at the little patterns the raindrops run and waiting to see which one gets back up from the bottom to pull up another with it. We need rain so badly here. Perhaps your poem will bring some to us. I can already see the rainbow in your pen. Caroline He who wants a rose must respect the thorn. |
