I know I’ll find you somewhere
because I’ve always done before
but when the shutters are drawn
and icicles coat the air
love settles into the cracks
of mystical energy.

And this energy like a dormant root
safe in an underground cave
gathers together unto itself
the remnants of memory
as a blanket and comforter
until the unraveling
of life’s mysterious threads.

See me there and others who care
when truth rises up to the dawn
vibrant with life and commitment
to the dispelling of human lies
and this picture un-perfect the spur
to embrace or let go
the ways of the world.

But I’ve come to know the fields and trees,
the mountains, the sea, and me
and the sometimes fickle,
the sometimes true,
essence of human beings …
and the question today;
embrace or let go
the combining and winding threads
that lead again to the finding of you?

I know I’ll find you somewhere!

Honeybunch,

Wonderful writing that hits home with me. The title says it all.  Your writing is perfection (or so it seems to me).

misc. - well, me being me would probably reply that nothing is ever as it seems but, wow, thank you for saying how my writing seems to you.  Your comment is very much appreciated.  Thank you!

Dixie - thanks so much.  Glad you enjoyed!

Helen

It's hard to know sometimes, wheather to embrace or let go.  I am usually a believer in embrace.  I think you are too.

Honey ... Loved your thoughts and the'energy' too ...

But I’ve come to know the fields and trees,
the mountains, the sea, and me   (NICE)

and the sometimes fickle,
the sometimes true,
essence of human beings …   (very nicely put)

and the question today;
embrace or let go

(take what's important, leave the rest behind)

~ and Helen, I adore how you encorporate that "knowing" into all of your writing. Your poetry is a pleasure to read.

Martie, tera, Linda, Ethel & JL - Thank you all so much for your kind comments.  So glad you enjoyed and JL - I guess there will always be more until love walks through the door because how can one write when embracing all night?

It like that shell I toss in the sea....the waves bring it back to the shore and me.  Much enjoyed this, dear friend.   ...jo

Jo - Oh, I like that but my few precious shells are pasted and glued in a frame and stand in my view every day.  I know I'll never lose sight of them so next time I'm at the sea maybe, just maybe, it will be time to set them free.
