I'm living
I'm breathing
I'm still on my feet
I don't get worried or excited
Life is all bitter sweet
Aint no good luck
or bad luck
Aint no luck at all
I live life waiting...
for the other shoe to fall.
The Wheel of Life is turning
Aint no die to cast
You're either on your way up
Or you're coming down fast.
Security rides
on a Unicorn's back
I aint never seen neither
on either side of the track.
You've got to cherish the moment
'cause it aint going to last.
The only thing that never changes
is that... Changes come fast.

Well get ready for the happy
if you're walking around sad.
If it's all looking good...
you'd best prepare for the bad.
From the time that you're born
until you ride in a hearse...
Things are never so bad
that they couldn't get worse.
Don't look to the stars
to decide what to do.
Things are as they are
and it's all up to you.

I'm happy that I've laughed
and I praise God I've cried.
You don't get a good edge
until the metal gets tried.
I take it all with a smile
and I aint gonna hide.
Heaven, Hell or high water...
it's for me to decide.
If they say Life's a beach
You know damn well they lied.
You'd better turn in your ticket
if you can't take the ride.
Because security rides
on a Unicorn's back.

Be it daughter or son
husband or wife...
We're all sitting on the see-saw
in the playgrond of Life.

I too was carried away with the rhythm and how right you are - change certainly comes fast. It's probably been making its way slowly but we're too dense to know. Enjoyed your poem!
