By now I'm sure you've formed an image
And I wonder what you see
So much has been written
I've revealed so much of me

After losing my dear father
I was overcome by grief
But poetry became my saviour
I felt such a sense of relief

Now I feel my life has blossomed
Into a beautiful bouquet
I do not take things for granted
I savour each and every day

I now stop and smell the roses
I'm grateful for each breath I take
My heart is always lead by love
Not by the money I might make

The simple things are most important
And I respect my fellow man
I try hard to make a difference
And I do all that I can

My life's been touched by many
Most of whom I'll never see
But I want you all to know
You'll always be a part of me

On this journey of discovery
I have let my heart unfurl
My inner voice has now been heard
Far and wide, across the world
