Mothering Memories

~*Marge Tindal*~

Bride of child ... soon 'with child'
Oh, how your beauty has shown
Barely fifteen years of life
yet new lives soon would be born~

And in the growing you found the time
to present us each with new life
Five of us in the making
each a special undertaking~

Beautiful Mother ... sweet grace of face
how you wrapped me in your poetic lace
You held my thoughts in tender spill
gave my ink the etch of quill~

~*~ o ~*~

To me ... you gave the poetry from your soul
Forever I am in your debt
for all the verses I have written
and the ones I've not written yet~

~*~ o ~*~

I gather thoughts from the family tree
gracing them with branching poetry
Always I am mindful of
the colors gifted in your inkwell of love~

~*~ o ~*~

Thanking my Mother ... for all I am poetically~
Tenderly from my heart~
I'll always wish she was still here to read them~
Beverly W. Drury Cowart
~On her birth-of-day tomorrow,
I know I will find the memories in soft surround~

Your mother is so beautiful, Marge....and she is the one who gave you your poetic gift? Do you have any of her work? Are you allowed to share them? to you on this day...

It appears to me, Dear Marge, that the petal did not fall far from the rose... Flowers

Your lace and grace memories of your mother are indeed, very touching.

I can well-imagine how much you must miss your Mom. But I can tell you this, that as long as you are alive ~ she is as well!

Angel hugs and angel food cake for Beverly on the anniversary of her "birth-of-day".

Hugs of love,
EO

Thank you little Spirit~

Sky~
Thank you ... and yes, she had the *gift of penning* ... I do have many, many of her writings ... and though I do hold the inheritance Copyright to them, I find it difficult to share her words ... I have, however, had them printed into a book for my children and my grandie girlies~

My father also wrote ... and both of them sure shared the blood-ink that circulates within me~

SweetEarthyOne~
In anticipation of my emotions tomorrow,
the grandie girlies and I did our ~Sweet Beverly Cake~ party today !
Oh how my mother would have LOVED these little angels~

Thanks gals~

Indeed she would have loved your little angels ~ and she does.

Give each of them a hug from "Queen Angel" ~ and keep one for yourself.

Marge, this was so touching that it brought tears to my eyes. I love the pictures and what a beautiful woman she was.

How fortunate you are that she gave you the gift of poetry. And now you can pass it along to your girls.

I just love this...what a wonderful thing your mom (and your dad too..?!!  wow!) shared with you; their talents!  And how cool is it that you have your mother's writings to share with your children and grands, and they with theirs........

much enjoyed (and the pics too!)..

Such elegant grace is in those pictures and in your writing!  I can feel the love and warm memories of your Mom in this poem about her.   One line really struck me because it reminded me of my mom.  This one:  "Always I am mindful of
the colors gifted in your inkwell of love~"

You mother was beautiful inside, too!

Marge, you have her cheekbone structure.  This is a beautiful memory, and photos, of a woman who gave much, and left you with wonders.  Thank you for sharing her with us.

Why do I feel like a ditto mark?  Indeed, she and you are both lovely ladies and it's interesting to know she and your father also wrote.  My mom passed away in Apri (1996), so I, too, recall the many things from her,I'm so thankful for at this time of year.  Thank you for sharing this piece of your heart, Marge.
