Song of the Druids
~ Linda L. Dowd ~

StarsStars
Moonbeams slip through shutters
of the open bedroom window.
Slender fingers of light reach over me,
casting my languid body in silver.

Lady Luna's sine qua non seeks my soul,
illuminating it with her serene light.
Memories of ancient times are awakened in me
and I begin chanting the Song of the Druids.

I rise and find my way to the ocean shore,
with an inner knowing of sacred secrets.
With arms reaching for the stars,
I touch my very own spirit.

I stretch and gently rock back and forth
in the primal rhythms of long ago.
~Breathing in essences of ages past,
while allowing the mysteries to enfold me.

Bathed in the serene glow of the moon,
I am transported to another time,
~another place, when the Song of the Druids
ushered in the morning sun.

With waves lashing my legs into divine movements,
the glorious sun rises at the edge of the world.

Lovely Linda...this is absolutely gorgeous!
As beautiful as this morning's sunrise.

Enchanting One ~

This morning's sunrise was indeed, "beautiful"! A picturesque beginning to a glorious spring day! I've been sunning on the deck sipping some fresh ginger tea! Coffee

I can hear the Song of the Druids from my mountain top. It rocks me in the warmth of this day's sun.

This is one of the most beautiful poems you have written. I have read it over and over and each time I get goose bumps and feelings of being in another place and time.

A keeper and a jewel my friend.

Misty Lilacs ~

Every time I read your name, I feel good! "Misty Lilacs" conjures up such beautiful images and scents and feelings!

Your warm response, warms my heart! Thank you, Dear Marti. It is always an honor when my poem touches someone enough that they want to save it.

Actually, I read 8 poems last evening at a poet's gathering, and this poem was very well received. I was very moved by their being moved!

Loves 'n happy springtime hugs,

(smiles) Oh Linda, I am always captivated and spellbinded by the moon as well, dearest friend, as I truly believe the moon summons the deepest of magical wonders, lunar kisses make the tulips and hellebores bloom, and everytime I am soaked in the moonlight before I go to bed, I always think of my dream girl who I always see her face and skin gleaming in its glare in my dreams and when I touch her face, pixie dust and prisms bounce from her! (sigh) This is soooooooo pretty, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
