On winter's tomb they rise, rows of faith on tethered patches where the green has yet to bind,
a mixture of the moon and whispy clouds on handheld sticks,
a fragile child,
to scatter wishes blown from lips, of starstruck girls, skipping rope and singing Beatle rhymes,
in '67, when dreams from heaven, would crown the field, in the simple promise of a dandelion.[This message has been edited by inkedgoddess (03-29-2006 06:45 AM).]

Dandelions hold spring in their hands, just as the children in your poem hold the dandelion.

a lovely tribute to the spirit of renewal the sweet, neverending dandelion, one of my favorite harbingers of warmer weather
(I HATE those dandelion weed killer sprays!)
