Coming Into Mist One pulse Again Again Overtaken Again Again And still I cannot see the shadows Flickering by the lamplight Confusion, as it passes on its way Damp, the flip of my collar Soundless, the azure meadow waits Outlines limb the sky before me Sentinel, erect and true I dream of starlight breakfast Dream the daybreak songs Broached by morning’s thick fingers Turn the night, her face in darkness Blushed the red of ambling spring Filling up my lungs in longing Undaunted, I step into daylight Seeing clearly my breath in the dew One Pulse Again Again Copyright Kkh 3/28/06 |

“And still I cannot see the shadows Flickering by the lamplight Confusion, as it passes on its way Damp, the flip of my collar Soundless, the azure meadow waits” Pulsing and rhythmic read. It reminds me of The Tell Tale Heart, or something composed by Alfred Hitchcock. This is a great write. Enjoyed the read!! JL ![]() |
