I step, you talk, I listen, A bird flies from one tree, I step, I listen, you talk, The bird joins others winging to sea, You talk, I listen, I stand As a breeze comes off the land Shaking the last birds from the tree That follows the others to the sea, I turn, I listen, you listen But only briefly pause Wondering the turn's cause. I step, you talk, I listen. Gloom Adapted from (part of ) "Teacher and Student" by Li Mu of T'ang Dynasty" |

I turn, I listen, you listen But only briefly pause Wondering the turn's cause. I step, you talk, I listen. I must remember to listen more ~~~ M |
