They say whatever happens Is a part of gods plan Churches burning People hurting Wars in foreign lands War, starvation Death by plague Don’t tell me he works In mysterious ways How can you not question If things are destined Is it just a way to deal? With the pain, So when you lose, You gain It’s not like we choose To feel disdain Just turn on the news The whole worlds gone insane If god controlled us I would imagine A world free of famine, Racism, sexism Stagnant we wait Violence, unsilenced Consumed by our hate This divide Society built We can’t blame it on one We all share the guilt In a world so ugly I refuse to believe That the man above me Should take responsibility. Maybe we should return To the idea of chivalry, Maybe then we’d learn To live in unity. Maybe then we would concern Ourselves with poverty Maybe then we would earn Our stripes in humanity. Lean on the shoulder Of those you hold close For when it’s all over They will matter the most If you must look up To ask for help Hold up a mirror And ask yourself He gives us time It’s up to us to decide We choose our path He plays our guide. |

This divide Society built We can’t blame it on one We all share the guilt I sOOOOO agree with this. I hate to hear people blame bad things on God. He is not the author of confusion and all good and perfect gifts come from Him>/i> Very good writing. Hugs, Ethel |
