News breaks from the tv, it is not good, it never is. We shout at the sreen. We dont want to hear this, a thousand tv's break news we dont want, a thousand people shout at the screen, why? We are powerless until it comes to deciding the governments, for a day we matter, after that it's too late. Stop shouting at screens, if nobody used the power on that powerful day, how would the leaders be decided? All are coated by the same paint as the others, it is red like blood. They are seduced by money, greed, avarice, while we are used as fodder. Dont hear the breaking news, turn the sound down, live life to your fullest, help each other, not the power hungry, solicitous merchants, peddling their seedy brand of democracy. Share hearts with like minded people, be free to love in abundance without shackles. Desire for nothing except desirelessness, hope for nothing except to rise above all hopes, want nothing and you will have everything.avatar Meher Baba. |

but if we do not vote then we do not get a say in the matter, when the elections come. what we have to do is when it is time to vote than we tell the government what we want and the person that will give it to us is who we vote for. if we don't vote, it's like we do not exist, we have to make our mark by voting. i do see were your coming from and do agree with you just not the voting thing, love your poetry, curiouse |

Curiouse politicians often make promises only to break them once they have their foot in the door..once they have that foothold, they slam the door in the face of the voter for 4 or 5 years then go about getting your vote again the next time. When they are in we get left in the cold and then they do as they want, you know, sending people to wars they have no right to, denying vital health care for their greed and wealth of oil etc... Voting is compulsory here in Australia so we don't really have a choice. But I do believe that if everyone lives their life the best way they can, the larger issues will take care of themselves. The soul would have no rainbows, had the eyes no tears. |
