With her sorrow and his glory
She held her head up high
Now was not the time to greive
Tonight alone she'll cry,

Then they raise there rifles high
And fire into the clear blue sky
The last salute to this brave soldier
No this is not the time to cry,

She can,t hold back the heart thats bursting
He's not your soldier he's my son
And all your words wont bring me comfort
How many die so your war is won,

She dosent understand the reason
Why humans have to kill there own
Lifes to precious to spend fighting
And this is how the young come home,

She prays one day we wont need killing
To stop the few of power and greed
Then man will spend more time just living
And pain and suffering will recede.

oj-ala is an arab word that found its way into spanish and it means "May God want this" so, Ojala foreign invasions become a thing of the past, ojala the unreasanable wars that perpetuate themselves in certain regions of this Earth end soon. It may be wishfull thinking but it is possible because there are millions that think and feel like you do.

thankyou sunshine for your comments, this is new to me, to see what is liked or not, that is why i like feed back, as everyone has there own styles, i am gettin much from everyone by reading and posting.

Wonderfully expressed! It hurts to know just one mother's child has died, let alone the many casualities and lifelong effects of war. More should read this. A keeper for me, as well.
