Sandbox Sifting
~*Marge Tindal*~

In a sandbox of such thoughtfully buried treasure
I gingerly sift for words of gold-lined measure
Uncovering polished gems in graceful refine
Hidden beneath the drifted sands of time
Passing now from soiled hands to ink
Sandbox sifting to make one think
Of just how they came to be
Gifted with such regality
Left for a poet to find
When sifting for
Words of this
Kind~

There is a little girl in me that you woke up with this one.

It's been a very long time since I have let her play, too.

Thank you for reminding me.

Seems I've sifted through a lot of sand boxes over the years but never found the poetic treasures you came up with. This is yet another beauty, Marge.

God bless

You do know where my warped sense of humor went with this one, don't you? LOL You do remember my love of felines, right? ROFL...

But those stray thoughts don't deter me long from appreciating this... and the beauty you find with each sifting. *S*

Dear Marge,
It's good to know you're still in the habit of visiting the playground, as though, for you, it is only a few deft pen-strokes away.
Race you to the teeter-totter!

Litter Box Sifting

Inky, Stinky and CatManDoo
played in the litter box at half past two
Leaving buried gems of ungraceful refine
that could only be treasured by another feline
The glitter of litter calls them to play
and OUT of ~*Marge's*~ Sandbox they'd better stay !!!

Night, night, ladies~

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Oh that is wonderful, and the second one is too hilarious!

The first one reminds me of when I was 3 years old.

On the other side of the road we lived on, there was a lake, and turtles frequented that lake. Sometimes on my father's way home from work he'd stop to find a turtle in the middle of the road. He'd pick it up, bring it home and put it in my sandbox, and then when I went out there I'd find it, and then together we'd take it down to the lake and let it go.

Thanx for reminding me of that, Marge.

Marge,  I never had a sandbox, but played in a huge hole we dug under the house-sure was cool in the summer-as we grew older we went to the mountains and creeks-reminded me of my daughter and her friends who loved the sandbox in the corner of the front yard-wonderful memories you have inspired me to dig up.   Danny
