but beware:
the wandering mind is a dullard's best friend--
you can't make appear what ain't already there-
so don't try to cut into stone.

Find ye a rhythm and dull up the blade
a burr is a sign of the time you'll have saved
hold it with freedom but with surety
create a new edge in a strong ball of bleed
because if you tell me you've never been cut
while sharpening knives then you ain't lived enough

to die with a smile on your face.

It's one of the things I enjoy most...won't carry a blade that isn't sharp enough to shave with....and boy have I ever nibbled myself a buncha times!

And yes.....the deeper aspect...cut too very often in that way too.

Puits fait comme d'habitude avec beaucoup de pensée. Le couteau coupe profondément pour laisser sa marque sur une âme.
