the echos are rattling my ribcage I'm trying to find my beat have you seen it? read rinse repeat read rinse repeat read rinse repeat filled to the brim with disaster 'watch out for that girls beat she's a walking talking time bomb' you'd just love to light the fuse and watch the peices fly red mist careful not to get too close my soul is a sponge I might just soak you up till you're nothing you'd love to be the indent on the bed you'd love to be nothing if I were you I'd rather flirt with infinity hey, I'm just trying to breathe in a world without oxygen I'm just a mute trying to speak I'm just trying to find my beat have you seen it? you were never supposed to become your words _______________________________________ I really need to start commenting on more peoples poems. I'm sorry, I'm trying to catch up on that. [This message has been edited by exhale (03-11-2006 02:53 AM).] |

This was really good. I once knew someone exactly like that. Although, if they're true, don't you have to be your words? What else can you be? Poetry has to be more than just somebody thinking out loud, don't you think? Inside one's poems can be a really scary place to be. It's often where you meet yourself face to face. I'll look for more of yours. |
