Peering to the mystery
of the dark island.
Sea ablaze with
dancing firelight,waves
ignited by the sun's
copper-amber brilliance.
Oh where does the
heart and mind wander?
Is it beyond the
shores of this mortal life?
Can we be fully
happy within this existance?
Surely to bathe forever
in the golden coruscating light
of immortality is the
essence of perfection and bliss!
With God we would dwell
in the safe haven of
love beyond all human sensibilities.

Your words really hit home with me Goldenrose. I was at the beach last night, telling someone almost the exact same thing. I don't think we ever will be 100% happy in this existence, but I guess we can get as close as we can, knowing there's a better place beyond this.

Beautifully penned, a keeper for sure.

The soul would have no rainbows, had the eyes no tears.
