I envy the Phoenix,
her ability to renew herself,
to wipe away the rust and the dust
of mankind's mistakes.

Phoenix! rise from the dust!

Hearts await a rebirthing!

Spread your wings of love,
renew our hopes
that the tree of Life
may spring forth
and re-seed
buds of Peace
to grow 'round
the world.

these lines, in particular, hold powerful
meaning for me... as I live in Phoenix, AZ...
and we are now on day 142 of no rain...

and I SO NEED my rain!... as it does,
indeed, bring with it a 'rebirthing'
of sorts for my heart and soul...
