The moon was out the stars were bright. We laid on the ground in the dark moon light. You lay by my side as we look at the stars. Away from the city and the noisy cars. Cocoa and cookies through the night. Till we awaken to dawns bright light. So up an atom and away we go. Back to our home and the city flow. |

Do you know what first came to my mind when I read this poem? It was the movie starring Mandy Moore called A WALK TO REMEMBER. There is a scene in this moving just like what you wrote, where they had hot cocoa and cookies and laid under the stars and just enjoyed each others' company until the morning. Nothing seductive done, just enjoying each others' company. This is a beautiful poem. Sheri Adams Jesus lives in my heart! He can in yours too!!! |
