To be clever was never your intent.

Gutwrenching honesty was your style.
Bleeding truth past all falsity,
was your gift to humanity.

All the colors of the sky
I saw and felt
through your mind's eye.

Pain and suffering painted themselves sheer,
but never without some spot of warm highlight
bleeding through, revealing the artist's delight,
your love of the light that is Life.

You canvassed my soul,
painted it true,
as only you could do.

I've always loved you, Vincent,
for your brushes always bled true,
straight through the darkness,
in Love's golden hue.

Kacy, I'm so glad you re-painted this piece of art. Absolutely wonderful writing here hon. Well done...I couldn't pick a favorite line. You do amaze me lady yanno??
