You are my Hero… Did you know? When he died, I was lost for a “Hero” Then came you… Such big shoes to fill, I know But you’ll do fine He was… amazing to me! I believed He could do anything I’ll lower the pedestal A bit For you So that neither of us will crumble If you should take a slight stumble But oh how high it was for him…. I’ll keep his memory there Flying high Never to falter Never to change You stand tall; I’ll try not to raise you too high! But you are my hero now-- I thought you should know... --dgvarner 030406 |

There are not enough heroes in this world. ~ and you have been fortunate to have had two of them in your life! It is so good to read your words again! Sending you a warm hug and a smile, Linda |

EARTH ANGEL..I know, it's true--there are not enough of those in the world who can qualify as a "Hero"! I do feel very fortunate to have found a second one...He's a Fire-Fighter, this one--a symbol of "America's Heroes"...but to me it's personal, not just the firefighter thing! I know someone like your first hero. He's still on that pedestal. I have yet to meet a second. enjoyed and then He created the horse... |

I love this, but I hope it doesn't hurt your current hero. - Owl |

THE LADY..Thank you ms. lady OWL..Thanks for reading Just a small peek into the life of me...(LOL)..I'm a "recovering co-dependent"! I've learned that putting people too high on a pedestal can cause them (and me) hurt, as they may not feel they can live up to what "I" believe them to be...However, my husband, my current "hero", has what it takes And...he occassionally verbalizes to me that he is human and has flaws--therefore keeping me in check with reality (ie: reminding me he doesn't REALLY have wings tucked up under his coat..!) Thanks again for reading! hugs, g |
