Debt The telephone bill outlined by month, day, year the number of minutes spent and dimes thrown across the states on day one, two, three, and more of such news, and status, plans and such of when [or if] ashes will come to find home to nurture some field, or give back some particle to life, to succor some plant, or feed some fish, dolphin in life that you were… the telephone bill brought you, all, this, back to me. So, as I wrote the monthly debt that momentarily wiped the slate clean it seemed to me I could taste the salt of the sea, or was it just a wisp of foggy mornings’ memory? |

So strange how some simple thing can bring it all surging back...and yet not strange at all, because life - each life - is made from simple things.... ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |

This is so interesting.. a telephone bill bringing back sad memories.. that one one could erase/wipe the slate clean by paying off the debt... I really love this poem! |

Understanding this as it has happened all too often in my life. A telephone bill, a document arrives in the mail, a note or letter belated. All bring back the memories. And that is not all bad. best to you sunshine. |

Small things bring back big memories, especially when those memories are sad. Well said. Ken Through rubble and trouble and dark of night |

memories are the nucleous of who we are...they help to mold our total being... and, the simple times are tresures....a time to remember and see the good in all that happened... this was beautiful |

I have no words for this, Karilea. It has touched me with so much sadness, yet warmth. The ocean with the sun sparkled waves and the unexpected splashes, well..., it's a beautiful picture. Thank you for sharing such delicate moments with us. (I don't think I would have the strength to.) You are an incredible individual and a such gift in our lives! cathy |

the movement of time and life have a way of collecting in the waste basket of life . . . and isn't it like you to notice - all the way into poetry. Hugs, Robert |
