Crystal Banks The water moves yet unencumbered Stones like sequins shine below Turning gently cragged and stuttered Rapid wishes race to know On the left an island outcrop Tree lined collar, fire warm Daylight fades beneath the backdrop Red portends an evening storm Lightly falls in whitened notion On the right a silent sheen Long armed perches bow in motion Heavy with their guests serene Lilt upon a frosted icing Slip the oar in soundless break Shimmering of drink enticing Summoning a souls deep ache Latent winter leaves it’s calling Hopefully to springs sweet eyes As the snow continues falling Crystal banks the next sunrise Copyright Kkh 2/25/06 |
