late winter walk Category: Writing and Poetry Nights beauty fades into the a.m. hours All seems silent as the febuary sky looks warmer, than it really is Out of the corner of my eye I catch a star as it falls out of sight Deep in the snow under drifts of frozen aqua crystals Another world still moves with life A little mouse finds the bread crumbs I left at sundown JDW III 8-24-2006 In his mantle gray he walked one day across a shining floor and with crystal key in secrecy he opened an ivory door -J.R.R. Good to read you again. May I ask you...to avoid short cuts in your verse?...far too pretty to short sheet the stars. Enjoyed. TD |
