late winter walk

Nights beauty fades into the a.m. hours

All seems silent as the febuary sky looks warmer,

than it really is

Out of the corner of my eye I catch a star as it falls out of sight

Deep in the snow under drifts of frozen aqua crystals

Another world still moves with life

A little mouse finds the bread crumbs

I left at sundown

Good to read you again. May I ask you...to avoid short cuts in your verse?...far too pretty to short sheet the stars.
