Well, I guess I'm from the old school... Pure country; born and raised; We weren't real religious, But in all things God was praised. I was taught that you can make it; If the Good Lord sees you're tryin' Sometimes manna comes from Heaven... In a patch of dandelion. Im thankful in my soul... That I'm country to the bone. There aint no place I'm bound to go... Where an ol' polk weed aint grown. Folks talking 'bout the hard times; How they're barely getting by... But I know that they can make it; If they ever have to try. Theres a lottery winner fussin'... How his money just dont last. Theres a bunch of lead feet cussin'... 'Bout the rising cost of gas. I see a thousand magazines... With new diet plans to try. And yet folks like to make a scene... About barely getting by. Mama said, "God spread a table... For the benefit of man !" She said, " Boy, eat what you're able." "What you cant eat...You CAN " "And when you're down to nothing... God and Nature holds the key... Sometimes what you need just cant be seen; 'Til you get down on your knees. " "You can always make it... If the Good Lord sees you're tryin' Sometimes manna comes from Heaven... In a patch of dandelion." |

That is a very special Poem and I liked it. It shows that you are indeed a man after Gods own heart. And I believe Your son is blessed to have such a wonderful father.Kim |
