Follow the whispering footsteps of love Into the forest deep; Where the subdued hush so softly falls, And dew-laden petals weep. Follow the call of a woeful dove, Beyond the treetops borne; Hear the cry of a grieving heart Mourning a love forlorn. Oh, why the sorrow, and why the tears As rain from the sky should flow — Dispel the clouds within the eyes And admit but golden glow. Release the heart to the gypsy wind, Untie the strings that bind; Free the song of the soul to sing, And unburden the burdened mind. No more the ache within the chest, No more the tears will fall; The dove soars free the unbounded blue Above the treetops tall. t [This message has been edited by troubadour (02-23-2006 06:45 PM).] |

"Release the heart to the gypsy wind, Untie the strings that bind; Free the song of the soul to sing, And unburden the burdened mind." This is fantastic!! My favourite stanza above, although the entire piece captured me. May we ask for more please? Hugs~Nancy ~ Trace my body with your words, |
