When I can not find the words to say And I search deep into my soul, I hesitate... Words can hurt you. Hurt is something I do not desire; Not for you, not for me. But shall I sit so silently? Shall I let things go unsaid? I do not judge you, my friend. Can you trust me? Can I share just how I feel? My passions, my beliefs... Without making you feel that I expect the same from you? I do not yet know. Be patient with me if I am not so willing to share as you are, Not so willing to be blunt and divulge the feelings in my soul. I fear hurting you, being hurt. It does hurt to hear the truth sometimes, And truth, together I am sure we will discover. But do not think my silence is condemnation, Rather, it is admiration for this new-found relationship we have. I walk still softly through these paths not yet trod. Please bear with me. |
