I’d be a Phoenix I would be as the Phoenix Rise above my own ashes Touch the naked of my dreams In the dew of morning With the taste of longing And the sense of belonging I would be as the Phoenix With my soul as goal For beauty is a chameleon And this mirror would collect All these visions to inspect For my heart to reflect And from the spirit of the done All this to be fused as one |

It is not the being down that gives us measure of ourselves... it's how we choose to rise, what we choose to make of what "now" holds. *S* And you, my friend... will always rise with grace and wisdom... and serve the tastiest lemonade from the lemons tossed your way. *S* I like this very much!! |

I like this. I have heard several "Phoenix" poems but this is by far the best and most imaginative. Cheers - Ed "Give me a museum, and I'll fill it." |

This is excellent, though I really hate making an ash of myself. *grin* (sorry - I just had to do it) |
