In this crazy world that we live in... Soon as I catch on...Something new begins; And I can't find where I fit in; But, on some things I can still depend... Some things I can still count on... Like Kellogg's cornflakes and Saturday morning; With "Whats up Doc?" and Yosemite Sam; Through the test of time, some things still stand; Like Barlow knives and Superman; And I still like Green Eggs and Ham. When its all too big and I'm too small... And the world just seems too strange... It's nice to know that some things never change. Yes, I'm glad that some things never change. Little boys still love trains. Little girls still have fun, Baking mud pies in the sun. Broomstick ponies still give rides; Cracker Jacks still holds a prize; Yo-yos spin and kites still fly; Ol' Yeller still brings tears to eyes. Santa passed me his baton... Christmas magic still lives on; In the underpass we honk the horn; Mary Jane and candy corn; Checker boards and Tootsie Rolls; Funny little plastic trolls; Up the water spout the spider goes... Pat-a-cake... I've got your nose. Boys play cowboy. Girls play nurse; Animal Cracker boxes for a purse; Bed time always causes thirst; Eat the middle of an Oreo first. Boys and girls still pass notes; Kiss is X and hugs are Os; Do you love me... Yes or No ? Kids still fish with old cane poles. And you're still mine...to have and hold; Your kiss still sweet...Your feet still cold; You still carry my last name; I'm glad that some things never change. When its all too big and I'm too small... And the world just seems too strange... Its nice to know that some things never change. |

It is indeed, Uriah. Enjoyed the write. The soul would have no rainbows, had the eyes no tears. |

Absolutely lovely. This is precious, Larry. The barrage of memories I was just flooded with as I read almost leaves me high! ......jo |
